Professor Nassim Taleb has described the term black swan dive as a rare event that is impossible to predict and impossible to not feel the effects of. That is exactly what Black Swan Dive Bomb is. They are a force that you may not see coming, but it is impossible to not feel the impact of this band.
Formed in the summer of 2020, Black Swan Dive Bomb quickly made an impact on the Detroit music scene. Their level of live energy mixed with the intensity of sound and song message had not been seen or heard in years. This immediately established them as the band to keep an eye on. With the release of last year’s debut EP, LIGHT THE MATCH IGNITE THE FLAME, the group proved that rock was alive and could still shake the foundations of society.
Now the band is set to return just one year later with their follow up EP called TO THE DEATH OF EMPIRES. If the debut was the sound of the band kicking open the door, this new EP is the sound of the band destroying the entire building. After a year of playing shows, Black Swan has only grown tighter and tougher. These new songs prove that. Black Swan continues to attack the hypocritical, the abusive, and the oppressors, but this time they also include the personal emotions that come with the fight. Songs such as Bombs Away and Pray for Me hold no punches for those they consider to be the corrupt, but also sing about the emotional toll these topics can have on a human. The riffs are meaner, the hooks are bigger, the band is tighter, and the revolution is still hip shaking.
